Glamorous Youth Movie

CHAN Kin-hong (Nelson YUNG) has an identical name with the notorious headlined man in Hong Kong, but the life of this passive and aimless schoolboy is far too normal. His father (Tai Pao) is a fan of martial arts fictions, and his mother (Letty LO) only loves Korean soap opera. He has already lost his fantasy on family and relationship. The literature class of the melancholic Mr. ZANG is perhaps his only sweet in life.
Raised in a single family, Kaka (Louise WONG) is used to the hysteria of her depressed mother. An injured cabbage patch doll might break their dead silence in the house. The two good friends of CHAN Kin-hong are facing their own problem: Dai-hong (KWOK Hiu-fai) is having a hard time in sex life; Spiderman (Cameron LAU) values dignity more than anything else. Spiderman strives hard and climbs high, but after all, he is not the American hero, but a tiny spider struggling on the skyscrapers in Hong Kong.
The only friend that Mr. ZANG (Joey LEUNG) has in school is the Principal (PAI Piao), their friendship fades away as Mr. ZANG dies. And life goes on, Mainland China has become a paradise for CHAN Kin-hong. Who knows an endless path leads to paradise or hell?

The Way We Are Movie

Synopsis

This is a nonchalant story of decent folks living in an isolated “new” town distanced by poverty.
Onn is a high school graduate, the only child of widowed Kwai, who lives and studies in Tin Shui Wai, a new town bordering China and remote by Hong Kong standard. He is no wise kid with flying colors but he grew up with keen awareness of what his mother has been up against in defense of their family of two.
Kwai is the kind who throws her despair behind and never dodges what it takes to move on in work and life. She works in a supermarket, actually a neighborhood grocery, at very limited salary, and that keeps her from the costly family gatherings which she could barely afford. But behind their infrequent encounters Kwai has a pair of caring brothers who owe their education to a sister who truncated her schooling to make money for the family’s future.

Director : Ann Hui
Cast : Idy Chan, Paw Hee Ching, Clifton Ko, Leung Juno
